'Tis the Season for Music and Merriment in Marin

Known as the “sunny side of the Golden Gate Bridge,” Marin County is truly a destination for all seasons. And for the holidays this year, Marin is ho-ho-hosting festivities that’ll bring you plenty of music and merriment, ranging from concerts to Winter Solstice Celebrations.

Here are six hand-picked Marin events that are sure to lift your holiday spirits.

 

The Beatles 1968 White Album Live in Concert
Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium
7:30pm to 9:30pm Saturday, November 27th

Experience the music of The Beatles like never before! Join us for a night to remember as we share The Beatles 1968 “White Album”. An album The Beatles themselves never played live. Professionally produced and directed, this show is guaranteed to bring The Beatles to life in a fresh, inspiring way.

 

Stapelton Ballet: “Nutcracker”
Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium
Two performances each day at various times on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th

The 31st annual production features inspired dancing, exquisite costumes, and lavish sets. Why not treat you and your loved ones to the magic of ballet? Delight in clever storytelling, heroic characters, and lavish costumes and sets while experiencing the breathtaking choreography on stage. With over 130 dancers from the Stapleton School of Performing Arts the wonders will never cease.  There will be a complimentary meet and greet with costumed characters after 1:00 p.m. matinees.

 


Marin Ballet: "Nutcracker"

Two performances each day at various times  Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th 

Rich in old-fashioned holiday grandeur, one can never get enough of the Nutcracker during the holidays, especially since most of us missed it last year! Marin Ballet’s Nutcracker is always a lovely holiday experience to share with those you love. Welcome back to the theater!

 


Marin Symphony Holiday Pops Concert
7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14th
Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium

A seasonal Marin classic, the Marin Symphony Holiday Pops Concert will be hopping with holiday pop classics, traditional carols and favorite theme songs. Special guests, sing-alongs and complimentary post-concert treats will tie a bow on the program held at the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael. 

 

Camelot at The Barn Theater
2:00 Matinee on Sunday, December 19th
Marin Art and Garden Center

Get ready to watch the magic of live theatre back on stage in Ross! Mountain Play and Ross Valley Players are happy to bring the legendary love triangle of King Arthur, Guenevere and Sir Lancelot to life again through special arrangements with Musical Theatre International. Camelot leaps from the pages of T.H. White’s novel in Lerner and Loewe’s award-winning, soaring musical. All authorized performance materials are supplied by Music Theater International

 

Crown & Crumpet is bringing back their annual Holiday Tea extravaganza to Marin Art and Garden Center, so make a reservation prior to Camelot! The Shop will offer the perfect place for a unique holiday experience for you and the family. We will have all the bells and whistles that Crown & Crumpet is famous for when it comes to our holiday teas, in a cozy and inviting atmosphere that will be safe and fun! 

 

New Year's Eve: Petty Theft - Tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
