Point Reyes Open Studios host two events a year on Memorial Day and Thanksgiving weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Visitors enjoy a free, self-guided tour through rural back roads and forest lanes to meet the artist and their art; some of the artists may even be doing a demonstration as a way to showcase their art.             Open Studios Map Brochure Fall 2021

Established in 1997 to promote the work of artists living in the Point Reyes region, Point Reyes Open Studios founders sought to bring local artists together with a vision statement, “to act as a resource and support for group members and other artists.”

Two dozen members are part of the Point Reyes Open Studios Group that celebrates the natural beauty of the Point Reyes wilderness area, a diversity of styles of abstract, figurative, impressionism, realism, and functional and fun. Ceramicists, fiber and recycled material artists, painters, photographers, printmakers, and sculptors in stone and wood…some emerging artists and many who have enjoyed long and successful careers, who exhibit locally and those who work in collections and galleries around the world.
