From 1896 to 1930, the Mill Valley and Mt. Tamalpais Scenic Railway carried passengers through redwoods, across creeks, and up the steep slopes of Mt. Tam. Known as the "crookedest railroad in the world," it made 281 curves in just over 8 miles. this 13-stop tour traces the original railbed, with glimpses of grand homes and surviving bridges.
