Point Reyes Open Studio Artists
Artists from Inverness and Point Reyes Station
We are getting ready for Point Reyes Open Studios in May. Here is something about who we are and what we do:
Sue Gonzalez captures the ephemeral patterns of light and reflection in moving water. Inspired by Tomales Bay, near her home in Point Reyes Station, her paintings focus on the elusive qualities of water, while exploring the boundaries of realism and abstraction.
Joyce Laws’ studio overlooks Tomales Bay in Inverness, California. Sensitive to the many moods and views created there by fog, sun, rolling hills and water, Joyce captures West Marin in rich colors and oil paint, working both on location and in her studio.
Molly Prier is well known for her one-of-a-kind burnished pit fired pieces, based on Native American Pueblo techniques. She also creates functional pieces for daily use: cups, bowls, serving pieces and vases - beauty that people use and see every day.
