Tiburon
Tiburon is an incorporated town in Marin and is located on the Tiburon Peninsula, which reaches south into the San Francisco Bay. The smaller city of Belvedere occupies the south-west part of the peninsula and is contiguous with Tiburon. The Tiburon-Angel Island Ferry is the perfect way to get out on the bay or to explore the history on Angel Island. Located in the middle of San Francisco Bay, less than 20 minutes from Tiburon, Angel Island State Park offers spectacular 360-degree views of the San Francisco skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, Mount Tamalpais and Tiburon.
There are different ways to experience Angel Island, from taking an open-air tram ride to learn the history and see existing historical structures, visit the Immigration Station Museum, hiking, renting mountain bikes and e-bikes to explore on your own, have lunch at the Café, or purchase To-Go items and have your own picnic on the grounds. Come discover the island for yourself!
From Tiburon, you can also charter The Tamalpais, where you get lots of options. From an elegant, full-service water taxi to San Francisco or Jack London Square to an all-day excursion out to the Farallones. For authentic vegetarian and Coastal California cuisine with a view, be sure to delight your senses at Malibu Farm Tiburon, open daily for lunch and dinner and weekend brunch, plus more! And for your undeniable quest for good seafood with a view, don't forget to stop in at Sam's Anchor Cafe.
