Masking Information for Indoor and Outdoor Settings - Throughout the pandemic, businesses have adapted to changing guidance. Restrictions and requirements for businesses were eased when California moved Beyond the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Capacity limits and physical distancing requirements for businesses have ended. Effective March 1, 2022, the requirement for unvaccinated persons to mask in indoor public settings and businesses was replaced by a strong recommendation that all persons, regardless of vaccine status, mask in indoor public settings and businesses. Each business may choose to enforce their own universal indoor masking policy.
