Tomales Festival

Celebrate the rich history and community of West Marin at the 138th annual Tomales Festival, a longtime tradition held in the historic village of Tomales.
The festivities fill Tomales Community Park with live music from the Blues Defenders, oysters and other food offerings, beer and wine, and works from West Marin artisans. Families can enjoy a children's area with face painting, books, and activities, while local community organizations and nonprofits share more about their work throughout the region.
Dating back to the 1880s, the festival began as a Swiss-Italian celebration honoring the area's immigrant community and has evolved to recognize the many indigenous and immigrant groups that helped shape Tomales and the surrounding region. This year's festival benefits the 152-year-old Tomales Town Hall, one of California's oldest community centers.
Admission is free.
