Hike Millerton Creek Ranch with MALT

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Phone: (415) 663-1158, ext. 306
Join MALT for a special hike at Millerton Creek Ranch, an 862-acre working ranch set among the rolling hills of West Marin with beautiful views of Tomales Bay.
MALT-protected since 2018, the ranch is home to beef cattle and pasture-raised hens, while Millerton Creek provides important wildlife habitat. Steelhead and coho salmon have historically traveled from Tomales Bay into the creek to spawn, which winds through steep ravines across the property.
Along the hike, learn how MALT has partnered with ranchers Mike and Morgan Giammona to support stewardship of the land, including projects funded through Measure A and a small grant for a solar-powered chicken tractor. Participants will also have the opportunity to take home fresh farm eggs directly from the ranch while supplies last.
Millerton Creek Ranch Loop (Moderate to Difficult)
3 miles | 500 ft elevation gain
Explore the ranch's rolling hills and enjoy scenic views overlooking Tomales Bay. The trail may be slippery if it rains.
Shorter Route (Moderate)
1.3 miles out and back | 300 ft elevation gain
A shorter option is available for those who prefer a less strenuous hike.
A suggested donation of $30 helps support future MALT hikes and experiences. Participants should review MALT's event policies and complete a liability waiver before arriving at the ranch.
