Celebrate community tradition and Western heritage at Western Weekend in Point Reyes Station. This beloved annual event brings together locals and visitors for a festive weekend of live music, food, and family-friendly fun in the heart of West Marin.
Saturday, June 6th kicks off the celebration with a visit to farmers and artists in downtown Point Reyes Station. Guests can shop local producers at the “Wild West” Farmers Market from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Toby’s Feed Barn, followed by time exploring local shops and art galleries throughout town.
Later in the day, the festivities continue at the annual Barn Dance at the Dance Palace, where guests are invited to put on their dancing boots and enjoy an evening of lively music and community fun. This event is free, open to all ages, and promises a seriously fun time, hosted by West Marin Commons.
Sunday, June 7th continues the celebration with the beloved Western Weekend Parade starting at 12:00pm on Main Street. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot and enjoy decorated horses, colorful floats, local bands, lively dancers, vintage cars, and more. The Food Corral opens at 11:30am near Toby’s Feed Barn, offering plenty of options for a festive meal.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy music DJ’d by KWMR and live parade commentary, as well as visit Gallery Route One’s “Artists in the Schools” Opening Reception at Toby’s Gallery (time to be announced).
Western Weekend is known for its charm and is a wonderful way to experience the culture and traditions of West Marin. It is a family-friendly event with something for everyone.
