For more than 35 years, The Hot Club of San Francisco has been developing its own distinctive style of Gypsy Jazz, earning recognition across the United States and abroad. The group is celebrated for its unique fusion of American jazz and European Romani musical traditions, blending groovy gypsy folk influences with sophisticated jazz sensibilities.
The Hot Club of San Francisco ensemble honors the pioneering spirit of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli’s Quintette du Hot Club de France. Using the classic instrumentation of violin, bass, and guitars, the group brings new life to the tradition through inventive arrangements of classic tunes as well as original compositions by founding guitarist Paul Mehling. Featuring the silken violin of twice GRAMMY® Award-winning Evan Price, dynamic solos from each member, and a driving, swinging rhythm section, the ensemble consistently surprises and delights audiences.

Often referred to as gypsy jazz, their music has captivated audiences worldwide for over three decades.
