Authentic Regional Mexican Salsas with Chef Dave Leyva at the Community Teaching Kitchen

Discover the bold flavors of regional Mexican cuisine in this hands-on cooking class focused on fresh, raw, and cooked salsas. Guests will learn to prepare a variety of traditional salsas using dried and fresh chiles while practicing knife skills and working with a molcajete. The class also includes an introduction to cooking beans for authentic homestyle Mexican meals.

About the instructor: Chef Dave worked as both a chef and pastry chef before becoming an instructor in Wine Country. He has taught at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia and the original Williams-Sonoma store, and now oversees the Community Teaching Kitchen at Homeward Bound of Marin.
Tickets are $95 per person. Reservations close August 21, 2026.
