"What About Age" Exhibit at Marin Civic Center Gallery Thru May 6th

Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Time: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
"What About Age" started as an exhibit at NYU's Work Life Office, curated by Dr. Stacey Gordon, Program Director of Next Phase Adult Caregiving and Retirement at Work Life, in collaboration with Pamela Tinnen, Lead Curator and Director of Exhibitions at NYU's Kimmel Windows. Artwork by Aubrey Hirsch. The exhibit explores how ageism impacts individuals, workplaces, and society – and challenges us to recognize our own ageist thoughts and behaviors.
This exhibit aims to challenge stereotypes around aging and promote intergenerational conversations through the lens of art. In partnership with Youth in Arts, the exhibit will feature artworks by local youth and senior artists, showcasing how age intersects with creativity, identity, and experience. Under the guidance of Youth in Arts teaching artists, these emerging and established artists will work side by side and create collaborative art pieces fostering dialogue between generations, while reflecting the core message of the exhibit: that art is ageless.
What About Age?, on view at the Marin County Civic Center’s 1st and 3rd floor galleries from January 26th to May 6th, from 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Please visit the website listed above for more information.
