Lino Tagliapietra is widely known as the greatest master glassblower to ever live, beloved by millions around the globe. He began his journey with glass at the age of 11 as a factory worker in Murano, Italy, and now at age 88, his body is slowing down and he is approaching retirement. But before he steps away from his life’s passion, he prepares for one final hot shop session and a last opportunity to blow glass with members of his original team.
Presented by the California Film Institute, DocLands Documentary Film Festival brings compelling stories and the provocative insights behind them to Marin County, California. Expanding upon the exchange of ideas and inspiration through public screenings and engaged conversations, DocLands aims to bring diverse communities together for dialogue and build an active, inclusive, and fully supportive community around documentary film. Dedicated to initiating connections and partnerships that will illuminate and invigorate the business and art of non-fiction filmmakers.
