San Francisco Fleet Week celebrates the rich naval tradition in the Bay Area, honors the men and women serving in today’s armed forces and facilitates annual disaster preparedness training with the Navy, Marines and local first responders.
It's just not watching the Blue Angels zoom around San Francisco Bay, but there is the Parade of Ships today, ship tours, and the Humanitarian Assistance Village located on Marina Green, which is an open-air, interactive exhibition of the military’s disaster relief equipment including heavy machinery, communications equipment, search and rescue capabilities, underwater inspection and repair, field hospitals, and much more.
