Italian Film Festival at Dominican University

Presented by Lido Cantarutti, the Italian Film Festival started out as an informal one-time only presentation of Italian movies in a college lecture hall. Now celebrating 45 years, the Italian Film Festival of Marin County is on Saturdays from October 1 - November 5, 2022. Mr. Cantarutti has presnted appearances from Italian film directors and composers, dignitaries of the Italian and Italian-American communities, and an authentically Italian atmosphere at every presentation.
All films are in Italian or original language with subtitles in English. All films are suggested for mature audiences. "Glassboy" is suitable for ages 8+.
"GLASSBOY" ("GLASSBOY") is a 2021 drama for the family in color and lasts 90 minutes.
Directed by Samuele Rossi, with Andrea Arru, Rosa Barbolini, Mia Pormelari and Laretta Goggi.
Pino is an 11-year-old with hemophilia who has spent his whole life watching other children play from the safety of his apartment. One of the children visits him and finds him to be clever, funny, and a talented artist. Animated by desire for freedom and boundless courage, he decides to start his adventure in the world and to show everyone that he can live his life like a normal kid. A moving story about following your dream and the power of friendship.
