Presented by Lido Cantarutti, the Italian Film Festival started out as an informal one-time only presentation of Italian movies in a college lecture hall. All films are in Italian or original language with subtitles in English. All films are suggested for mature audiences. "Glassboy" is suitable for ages 8+.
"A GIRL RETURNED" ("L'ARMINUTA") is a 2021 drama in color and lasts 114 minutes.
Directed by Giuseppe Bonito, with Sofia Fiore, Carlotta De Leonardis, Venessa Scalera, Fabrizio Ferracane, Elena Lietti and Andrea Fuorto
Set in the seventies, a thirteen-year-old girl discovers that she is not the daughter of the people she grew up with and is returned to her real family in the Abruzzo region in central Italy. She loses everything from her previous life: a comfortable home and the exclusive affection reserved for an only child. Her new home is foreign and rough and barely touched by progress. Based on the bestseller by Donatella Di Pietrantonio that won the 2017 Campiello Prize. Available in English as "A Girl Returned".
General Admission is $21 per person, plus a service charge. A 6-Film Series is available for $118 per person. Please purchase tickets in the above website link. More details on film festival here
