Point Reyes Farmers Market
Date: Saturday, June 19, 2021
Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm
Now under AIM’s stewardship, Point Reyes Farmers Market will be supported with AIM's infrastructure, as it becomes part of the greater movement for healing through land, food, and community. The market will feature a variety of local organic vegetables, fruit, cheese, meat, flowers, jams, fermented foods, baked goods, juice, wine, prepared foods and more. Participating farmers and producers include: Point Reyes Flowers, Wild West Ferments, Stemple Creek Ranch, Haraneco Café, Bivalve Dairy, Mami's Crunch, Brickmaiden Breads, Tomales Farmstead Creamery, Wild Pear Co, Urban Organics, Chick'n City by Kitty, and more.
Opening day on June 19th will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Elliot Racine will take the stage to share his funk, rock, jazz, and experimental music that is described as “thought-providing, joyous, melancholy, meditative, and humorous.” The Marin County Mobile Vaccination Unit will be on-site offering free Covid-19 vaccines with no appointment necessary to people 12 and up.
AIM encourage shoppers to bring their own bag to reduce plastic in the markets. AIM will also be partnering with West Marin Climate Action and Recology to reduce single use foodware and divert food scraps from landfill through our compost program.
The Point Reyes Farmers Market will proudly accept EBT/CalFresh and offer a $10 Market Match per day for free fruits and vegetables.
AIM welcomes new farmers, food purveyors, and artisans for the 2021 season. Preference is given to local producers who are certified organic and farms and small businesses owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color; women; immigrants; and LGBTQ+ folks.
