Family Fun Sail on Matthew Turner

Learn about the life of a sailor, local maritime history & help raise the sails on a traditional ship, known as Matthew Turner. A 132' wooden brigantine, built in Sausalito, CA, launched in 2017 and sailing the Bay since 2020. She is an unique educational platform, serving students of all ages in Seamanship, Marie Science, Nautical History and Team Building instruction. Docked at the US Army Corps of Engineers Bay Model Visitor Center at 2100 Bridgeway in Sausalito, CA.
Activities that are fun for kids and adults!
- Sail back in time and learn sea stories & chanteys from years past
- Haul up sails, coil lines and create your own knots to take home
- Activate your curiosity by playing marine life bingo
- Gain insights into the future of energy by interacting with a Hybrid Engine model
Cost: $69 for Youth 12 and under and $99 for adults. Online reservations are required in advance in the above website link.
Free parking is available in the US Army Corps of Engineer Bay Model Visitor Center lot. There will be an escort to walk you down the pier past the gate.
