Sponsored by the California Native Plant Society, Marin Chapter
Location: Sausalito Bay Model Lobby Gallery
Sponsored by our chapter, this exhibition of stunning images by local photographers Rob Badger and Nita Winter reveals the incredible beauty of California’s wildflowers and their varied habitats. The exhibition emphasizes Marin’s landscapes, but also includes diverse geographic regions of California, from Sierra alpine
rock gardens to Death Valley’s desert scenery. We’re adding additional interpretive panels that will make the connection between the wildflower imagery and the specific habitats for these plants here in Marin.
Everyone loves wildflowers, and the spring bloom sea¬son finds most residents out on the trails of Mt. Tam, Ring Mountain, Point Reyes, and other county hotspots for wildflower bloom. By making the connection between the land we all love and the threats it faces, we hope to create greater awareness of the potential for environmental damage that can occur with climate change, and offer ways to get involved to address it.
