Join us to learn The Way of Wabi-Sabi with Naomi Kubota Lee at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts! Welcome to the world of the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi. We will compose very personal pieces of wabi-sabi art, losing ourselves in the philosophy of seeing the Perfection in the Imperfection. From the wabi-sabi tradition, we will observe and create from the natural world – from the gifts of falling leaves, branches, worn river rocks, natural jute, among other materials. If you wish, bring personal or found objects to integrate into your artwork.
Cost: $35, $28 OHCA members, $5 materials fee (materials fee to be paid to the facilitator the day of your class)
Registration available online.
