Marin Center invites you to view the Golden Gate Marin Artists exhibit in the Redwood Foyer Gallery, on display during performances August 1-November 30. The Golden Gate Marin Artists are a group of 21 award-winning women artists and poets, whose variety of styles and media always make for interesting and diverse shows. Works in this exhibit include oils, acrylics, pastels, sculpture, photography, ceramics and poetry.
The GGM Artists are a branch of the National League of American Pen Women, a professional group of women writers, visual artists and composers, organized in 1897, when women were refused admission into the (then) all-male National Press Club. Their goal is to promote the arts through exhibitions and the awarding of an annual scholarship to a talented Marin female high school senior who plans to continue studying the arts at the college level.
The Gallery is open during performances or by appointment only. Please email lgarrison@marincounty.org for information.
