The biologically rich waters of Drakes Estero provide a haven for thousands of shorebirds, harbor seals, bat rays, leopard sharks, and other wildlife. We'll look for signs of the geological and cultural past as we enjoy the diversity of marine and avian wildlife that makes the estuary so special. This is one of the only marine wilderness areas in California. Although Drakes Estero is close to our modern cities and towns, kayaking in it is a unique experience where one feels transported to a distant, wild place.
-This will be a vigorous activity.
