You're invited to the 2018 One Tam Science Summit, Into The Woods: Mount Tam's Forests in a Changing Environment at the Mill Valley Community Center. The event seeks to unveil and explain our current research on the health of Mt. Tam's forest systems, the effects of climate change, and forest resiliency, and also how what we have learned fits within the context of land management and community involvement.

During this day-long summit you'll geet the chance to:

  • Look at Mt. Tam’s redwood forests, oak woodlands, and conifer forests through multiple angles, including their ecology, health, wildlife, resiliency, and more
  • Learn how forests are affected by broader themes of change happening in our region, like climate change, changed fire regimes, and disease
  • Take a close look at the tanoak - a common element of our region's landscapes, but very rich in natural and cultural history.
  • Find out how to get involved in the many community science, habitat restoration, and other opportunities we offer as a part of our work to protect Mt. Tam, and through other organizations throughout Marin.

Tickets: $25-$65

Tickets available for purchase online. Ticket includes lunch and a wine and cheese reception following the event.
