At The Fork, we specialize in farm-to-table, which is why all of our classes begin with a tour of the farm.
Once inside The Fork kitchen, you will receive a hands-on education in fresh cheese making from Instructor Karin Karlsson. Karin, our lead cheese maker at our Petaluma creamery, will first demonstrate pasteurization and then you’ll taste, sample and discuss the styles and flavors of different fresh cheeses.
You'll enjoy a Farm Fresh lunch prepared by our Executive Chef, Jennifer Luttrell and then you'll work together under Karin's guidance to make your own fresh cheese.
The day ends with a focused tasting of Point Reyes Farmstead Cheeses, led by Head Cheesemaker, Kuba Hemmerling.
