Marin Center and The Marin Speaker Series invites you to a lecture by Vice President Joe Biden. As a senator from Delaware for 36 years, Biden was a leading architect of domestic policy, a preeminent voice on criminal justice issues, worked to change the culture around domestic violence and sexual assault, and played a pivotal role in shaping U.S. foreign policy.
While 47th vice president of the United States, Biden oversaw implentation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, chaired an administration-wide effort to improve the lives of working men and women, and led efforts to implement reforms to reduce gun violence. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, with Distinction-the highest U.S. civilian honor.
Today, Vice President Biden continues expanding opportunity for all through the Biden Foundation, the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, and the Biden Institute for Domestic Policy at the University of Delaware.
Biden is the author of "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose", a memoir released in 2017, and "Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics".
