The Cheese School of San Francisco invites you to their Sweet + Funky Class with instructor Juliana Uruburu! Salted caramels, prosciutto and melon, bacon and...everything: The counterbalance of salty and sweet has gone from food trend to gospel in less than a decade. That’s part of why cheese pairs so divinely with honey, jams, and dried fruit. The other reason? Mold! (Think Brie, blue cheese, funky washed rinds, and wrinkly-rinded goat cheeses.) In this class you’ll pair cheeses with different molds with the sweet treats that make each cheese sing. Led by cheese expert and the woman who coined the phrase, “sugar loves mold” Juliana Uruburu.
Cost: $60 per person
Registration available online.
