StoryCenter Recordings for Mill Valley Film Festival's 40th Anniversary

Date: Saturday, September 9, 2017

Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm

As part of the 40th Anniversary celebration, the Mill Valley Film Festival is joining with the Mill Valley Public Library and Berkeley's internationally renowned StoryCenter to capture a series of video and/or audio recordings of community memories about participating in the Mill Valley Film Festival. During four weekends in September and early October, you can visit the Mill Valley Public Library to share a favorite moment, memories or a more in-depth impression of this event as a member of our local community. Each session will last up to 30 minutes. You can choose to be interviewed by one of the staff, or bring a friend, loved one or colleague and have your memories of the Festival recorded as a conversation. All recordings will become a part of both the MVFF and Mill Valley Public Library archives. The process of recording these community stories will be documented for a film premiering at MVFF40 titled Mill Valley Residents.

Recording dates are:

  • Saturday, September 9, 1-5pm
  • Sunday, September 17, 1-5pm
  • Saturday, September 23, 1-5pm
  • Sunday, October 1, 1-5pm
