Explore the interesting and structurally complex Franciscan rocks on Angel Island that have been metamorphosed in a subduction zone. At scenic vistas, we’ll discuss the natural history, topography, and flooding of San Francisco Bay associated with glacial-interglacial cycles, walking roughly six miles with 600-foot elevation gain throughout the day.
