Tomales Bay, on the coast of Northern California, is our home where we grow, harvest, shuck and share great oysters.  We began oyster farming in 1983 with the goal of raising the best quality, sustainable shellfish in a beautiful location.

We started our farm with a five-acre shellfish lease in Tomales Bay, CA raising the Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas), which we call our Hog Island® Sweetwater. Today, we farm on 160 acres of intertidal lands in Tomales Bay where we raise four of the five edible oyster varieties found in the Northern Hemisphere, plus Manila clams.

Here at the farm, there are many offerings available based on your interests.  We have The Boat Oyster Bar, an outdoor café with a seasonal menu to enjoy oysters and light fare, with beer and wine options available too.  We also provide flexible picnic options, known as Shuck Your Own Picnic with or without a grill, The Hog Shack is our retail kiosk to purchase fresh oysters and shellfish to go, and farm tours are available Monday – Friday only.

Please be sure to make website reservations before coming out to the farm.

We are open every day, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
