Marin County Fair 2022

Posted in Blogging Marin on Friday, June 10, 2022 by MCVB Staff

Plans are underway for the first in-person Marin County Fair since summer 2019, an outdoor-only event with the theme So Happy Together! from June 30 through July 4, 2022.

The 2022 fair will focus on outdoor headline entertainment, performers roaming the grounds such as jugglers, unicyclists, and stilt walkers, and interactive art experiences for fans of all ages. Returning fair favorites will include traditional carnival rides, the Global Marketplace, food and drinks, and fireworks every night during the fair over the Civic Center’s Lagoon Park. The always-popular competitive exhibits program will take place online as it did in 2021.

The So Happy Together! artwork was designed by Marin County artist Raul Del Rio, especially for the 2022 fair. The painting joyously illustrates the Marin County Fair’s core values of art, agriculture, and community while also celebrating the spirit of togetherness, inclusivity, diversity, and fun.

See you at the Fair!

Fireworks for All!

Celebrate in spectacular style as the skies are filled with fireworks every night over the lagoon.

The fireworks take place every night of the Fair, shot from three barges over the lagoon in a low-level, safely choreographed extravaganza of music, rockets, Roman candles, comets, meteoric showers and spectacular bursting cascades — all beautifully reflected in the water below. Bring the entire family and enjoy this amazing show every night of the Fair at 9:30 p.m.

Cool concerts

The concert line-up this year are Bay Area favorites, Pablo Cruise and Sons of Champlin, along with Sheila E. and Digable Planets.

Gold Circle (reserved) headline concert tickets are $60.

For a reserved seat to the headline concerts, please purchase a Gold Circle ticket.
Gold Circle concert tickets are $60 per person and include reserved seating. Gold Circle tickets include Fair admission.

All Fair Tickets include general admission to the headline concerts at no additional cost. No additional ticket is needed.

Friendly competition

While the fair is all about having fun, it’s also a great place to experience some healthy competition. This year the fair has added several quirky and creative categories to the competitive landscape.  For a complete list of events and contest exhibits, check out the Marin County Fair website.

There’s no better place to enjoy the Fourth of July weekend than under fair fireworks with family and friends.
