Art Works Downtown owns and maintains a premier nonprofit art center in a 40,000 sq.ft historic building in the heart of downtown San Rafael on Fourth St. Featuring 3 galleries, 35+ studios with artists at work, a jewelers guild, crafts guild, frame store, ceramic center, clothing boutique and more, AWD also offers rotating exhibits by Bay Area artists, monthly events, art classes for all ages, a public art program as well as other opportunities for artists and community to connect.
